Its a Joy to be British.

Burberry has yet to fail in my eyes. The soft cashmere burberry plaid scarf was my first taste of true british quality and where my love began.
Christopher Bailey then enhanced their entire collection which caused a greater love within, for this brand.
The Trench coat promoted by fantastically strong images which included our very British school girl Emma Watson.

Now, the prefall collection of olives, browns and entoxicating fabrics cannot help me but to gaze and admire the quality of this work.

Please look upon these images with as much love to the brand, the design and remember this is a British designer!

Who said that Britain has no true fashion foreward pieces?
Christopher Bailey has trully achieved in proving them all wrong.

It is Bailey who keeps me proud to be British.

Enjoy

Pringle of Scotland

Having just seen the latest of Pringle of Scotland's Pre Fall 2010 collection I have to mention how exquiste the knitwear pieces trully are.
I would expect due to the calibre of knits that other pieces would be shadowed, this was not the case. The carrot-legged pleated trousers and tiered leather skirt were standout pieces.

This collection is truly stunning and I look forward to more great work to come.

Pandora-treasure in a box

Tunbridge Wells have made an addition to the Royal Victoria Shopping mall with a very white and gorgeously zen-like Pandora Store.

What used to house my favourite Whittard Tea and Coffee store last year, is now the ever so famous, Pandora. I feel this space is ideal, it is near the entrance and the escaltor, and within a comsumer market where their is plenty.

With Necklaces and braclets, earrings and rings I am sure an endless amount of families will be experiencing an "unforgettable moment" this Christmas Day.

PRIMARK PRIMARK PRIMARK

We would like to see an increase of purchasing for our top retailers. However it looks like this coming new year it'll be much more of the same and retailers such as Primark will be topping the charts (as it were) regarding sales. Japenses retailers such as Sogo are following suit.

Therefore, 2010 sets to be another of low prices and poor quality, along with consumers being caught in social circles saying "It's actually from Primark" or "I saw it in Primark for only a tenner".

Enjoy xoxo

Christmas Presents!

I want to touch upon those presents that don't get the full glory which they should. I am talking about the gifts which you recieve which possibly arent the highlight to your day but you are very grateful that you were given them.

It's Christmas day and I have opened the presents which santa left at the end of my bed last night, and I recieved lots of great things but the two items in which I am most grateful for and would not make too much fuss about are the cute pj's and the three pairs of socks.

Yes you may think that this is not very fashion forward or remotely true but I must say every fashionista needs some sleep and down time!

I am so grateful for these gifts because firstly I love pj's. These ones are especially cute they consist of a cute pair of trousers (obviously flannel) that have a polka dot print. The top is a sleeveless vest (black a white stripe, with a pink band) which has printed on it "Half asleep but still FABUOLOUS". So I shall look fabulous 24/7. Thanks Santa!

Socks are always an issue with me, when I was little they used to go thread bear because I literally would never keep still, and it became a joke that I would always be given socks! Today though I am happy to be given my three pairs of pink socks.
I believe that their are two types of women: those who have a weakness for Bags and Socks
or those who love Shoes and knickers!

With that I let you enjoy your Christmas Day, and ponder the thought of which Female are you?

Enjoy and look Great!

ALL THAT IS BRITISH...

As I prepare for a trip back to London for the Christmas period. I start thinking about all that is British and what makes us special. Tea and Scones is what comes to the majority of Americans when asked, but humour and art is what comes to mine.

Where would we be without some humour and art?
Art in all forms-Photographs, Artiecture, dance, music, acting, literature, and of course our most loved Fashion.

Yes for those non-believers, fashion is considered artwork. I want to take this time to commend some of my favourite British artists that I believe are "All that's British" and who I will always
admire.

Exfoliate, Cleanse and Moisturize!

How many of us do this religiously?

Having had a couple of fun nights out recently (all in the name of Christmas-obviously), I have stumbled across the repercussions of not cleansing and moisturising before heading to bed.

I want to know what percentage of females really do exfoliate, cleanse and moisturize regularly?

From interviewing Danielle Isaie-we know she does but do you?

let me know.

Up in the Air

I went to see 'Up in The Air' Last night and it, obviously, got me thinking about flying and what people wear when they are thousands of feet high.

Well, I am all for the comfort, especially as I am used to flying no shorter than 11 hours going to and from LAX and LHR.

However, what ever happened to flying in style?

Remember the times when flying was a luxury? It was the time of the Hepburns and the Grants. When people would dress in their 'Sunday Best' when boarding an airplane. What a good topic to verbalize my opinion about suitable attire for an aircraft.

High in the Sky

Emily's Style ideas for the air plane.

I typically think there are 3 ways to dress:

1) All Out Comfort:
a) Casual Top
b) Casual yet Warm Sweater
c) Sweatpants
d) UGG Boots/Flip flops

2) Mild Comfort but with personality
a) Jeans
b)Knit Top
c) Sweatshirt/Jacket for additional layer
d) Kitten heeled shoes/boots

3) Classic with comfort/warmth & personality
a) Tights/Leggings
b) Light weight knit top
c) Long Sleeved Sweater Dress
d) Boots/Ballet Slips/Shoes

* A frequent flyer will always have additional Socks & Face cream in thier hand luggage

So their you have it.
When Flying, the suitable outift no longer consists of 'Sunday's Best garments' but instead whatever your personality and mood is feeling-with comfort at the forefront.

However there is just one exception......

The One and Only: Posh Spice.

Keep your look,
Keep your love and...

Keep styling.

Styling...

A couple of months ago I had an amazing opportunity to style the GMTV host, Anna Singleton, for one of her press photo shoots.

It was located in Downtown LA, on a day that had terrific down pour of rain. Inspite of the rain, all was not lost. I pulled, some Vivenne Westwood garments, some fantastic accessories, as well as some local designers pieces to create 4 different looks for Anna.
Her are some of the shots....

I love the blue tones brought out in the picture below. Thats the greatness of the rain, it creates an amazing atmosphere of colours for a photographer to capture and use to enhance the outfit, the body.
We wanted to create the sophiscated E! Entertainment reporter look.(above)

Below is all about the MTV style promotion. Rock edge meets sweetheart.

Its's that time of year again...the time of peace and goodwill and joy to all men and PARTY PARTY PARTY PAAAARRRTTYYY!

Whether or not you are invited to hundreds of events this Christmas and enjoying this festive season. It's another excuse for us Fashionistas to shimmer and shine in head to toe style.

For me and many others it's about locating that special number for:
1) the Christmas office party
2) Christmas Day
3) New Years Eve.

So I have decided to pin point some styles and designs that I believe will fulfill that burning hole in your wardrobe this Christmas.

SEQUINS:
Whether it is long sleeved, strapless, fitted or not-I can't get enough of anything that sparkles.

A touch of Lace.
It's a simple texture that can add sophisication and a little sex appeal in all the right ways...

Timeless Tafetta
The perfect combination for the structured party dress...

and some pieces I can't resist to tickle your taste buds...

There you are, plenty for you to dribble over, give you stomach pains and cause your bank balance to decrease.
But do as your told: 'Christmas is the time for giving' ... even if it is to yourself a little.
So off to the shops you go.....enjoy!

Don't forget always dress to impress....ho ho ho happy Shopping!
