Fall/Winter Key PIECE!

Due to the busy schedule that I have been on since arriving in London. I feel a long awaited review has almost disappeared and similar to the speed of the Fashion world my mind is onto the new ideas of our Fall/Winter season. Or more to the point, what I am loving about this beautiful season.
Whilst here in Sussex, I am appreciating the colours and the feel of this time of year: Bright blue skies, oranges and browns from the trees and those heavenly cold evenings-unaware if it is going to rain or not.
It makes you want to grab that great big cardigan or that lyocell/cotton trench style coat (from Zara) and head out into the countryside!
For most of us 'real' fashionistas the metropolitain lifestyle is more the forefront of our minds but occassionally a drift into this quietness helps the body absorb the beauty of life.

On that note, (albeit slightly heavy)...I move on to my FAVOURITE piece for this season....

The oversized CARDIGAN!!!! (excuse my excitement...but yes, it is indeed real excitement)!

They are coming out in force: round necks/ v necks/ scoop neck/button downs/ with a hood/without a hood/ with a belt/without a belt. Then the patterns.... the decisions are endless! And the high street are just lapping it up; the shop windows are full of styles. In fact, River Islands current visual is ingulfed by their knitwear collections!
What makes this garment so special is how it makes you feel and the infinite ways you can style it. This one piece can be worn at any occasion (day or night/ formal or informal). Team it with leggings and riding boots and you have a quality day look or add it with laced tights, a bubbled hip straight skirt, heels and a clutch and you are ready for an evening event.
One can just snuggle down indoors with a good book or one can glam it up for a night out. Dependant on the colour, pattern and person these pieces are hard to wear wrong.

On that inspiring note I bid you farewell and inspire you to source your favourite piece.
From my high street exploring I have discovered several stores that are exceuting them well and I insist you check out H & M; Espirit; Ted Baker; Topshop; River Island; Zara and Mango.
With this in mind I hope it inspires you to source your favourite pieces and wear it with style.
