Up in the Air

I went to see 'Up in The Air' Last night and it, obviously, got me thinking about flying and what people wear when they are thousands of feet high.

Well, I am all for the comfort, especially as I am used to flying no shorter than 11 hours going to and from LAX and LHR.

However, what ever happened to flying in style?

Remember the times when flying was a luxury? It was the time of the Hepburns and the Grants. When people would dress in their 'Sunday Best' when boarding an airplane. What a good topic to verbalize my opinion about suitable attire for an aircraft.

    For flying I wear easy flat shoes that can be taken off. As for clothes it's usually jeans or an easy dress. Meaning a long comfortable summer dress. Because I hate them asking me to take everything out of my pockets.
